Sales Operations Coordinator – Qatar Airways (Tanzania)
Qatar Airways (QR) is embarking on an exciting transformation to redefine how we engage with our customers. As part of this journey, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated **Sales Operations Coordinator** based in Tanzania to support our sales operations team and help drive revenue-generating activities.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing daily sales operations tasks for the assigned region, ensuring adherence to established processes and policies. You will provide exceptional service to both internal sales teams and external trade partners, contributing to the success of QR’s sales activities. You will also play a key role in maintaining strong team morale and fostering relationships with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
– Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sales operations, aligning with QR’s global sales operations principles.
– Take a leadership role in executing sales operations activities, including (but not limited to) Reservations and Ticketing, Trade/Corporate Account support, Group Sales, Sales Support, Sales Systems, and Sales Administration.
– Communicate effectively with external trade partners, providing updates on QR-related matters such as campaigns, policy changes, and fare revisions.
– Assist the sales team in maintaining an up-to-date database of trade partners within the region and provide regular reports to line managers and regional management on departmental performance and key metrics.
– Mentor junior team members, ensuring high standards of service delivery and supporting their professional development.
– Perform other departmental duties as directed by the Head of the Department.
– Oversee all sales operations activities, including Reservations and Ticketing, Refunds, Trade/Corporate Account support, Group Sales, Sales Support, Sales Systems, and Sales Administration.
– Process refunds and raise Commercial Tool Kit requests via Galaxy for the sales force.
– Maintain the Galaxy and Trade portal platforms, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
– Communicate with customers or QR Account Managers to ensure documentation is completed.
– Produce and share monthly performance reports for relevant markets.
– Keep customer profiles up-to-date in Galaxy and upload PLB and corporate contracts.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need:
– High School Qualification or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
– Experience in areas such as reservations/ticketing, sales support, group sales, tariffs, distribution, or business analysis.
– Fluency in English (written and spoken).
– Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
– Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
– Strong knowledge of airline processes (e.g., Pricing/Distribution), systems (e.g., Amadeus, GDS), and the travel industry.
– Strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on efficiency.
– Leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire teamwork within the department.
