    Job Title: Officer – Airport Services

    Job Overview:
    The Station Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that Oman Air’s operations at the station adhere to established standards. This includes overseeing staff performance, maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring the highest level of customer service, and enforcing safety and security policies. The supervisor will manage the coordination of internal and external departments, including handling agents, caterers, other airlines, and airport authorities, to provide superior service to customers. The role involves managing staff and taking charge of station operations in the absence of the Airport Services Manager.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Operational Oversight: Ensure all operations at the station meet the required standards and that all staff members adhere to the company’s operational guidelines.

    Safety and Efficiency; Supervise operations to maintain a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and timely workflow while enhancing customer service levels as per Oman Air’s policies and procedures.

    Coordination: Organize and manage coordination between internal departments (handling agents, caterers, airlines, authorities) to ensure seamless customer service.

    Staff Management: Oversee and supervise staff, ensuring all operational areas are adequately staffed. Assume responsibility for station operations during the absence of the Airport Services Manager.

    Flight Planning: Ensure proper organization and planning of all flights, allocating staff as needed to meet operational demands.

    Customer Service: Handle passenger services in accordance with the Passenger Service Manual and address any issues in collaboration with Immigration, Security, and Customer Service teams.

    Operational Support: Manage any operational challenges, such as aircraft technical issues, charter flights, delays, cancellations, and aircraft rotations.

    Administrative Oversight: Ensure proper administration related to revenue, including handling flight coupons, meal vouchers, correspondence, and necessary documents.

    Meal Management: Monitor meal uplift to prevent wastage and ensure appropriate meal distribution.

    Performance Monitoring: Evaluate staff and supervisor performance, identify discrepancies, and suggest improvements.

    Reporting: Submit daily reports to the Duty Manager and Airport Services Manager, along with incident reports for any irregularities like technical issues or charter flights.

    Roster Management: Assist in preparing and amending staff rosters to meet operational needs.

    General Support: Oversee operational functions of the Customer Service Office, ensuring smooth operations for all flights and related activities.

    Mailing Procedures: Ensure that staff adhere to OCS mailing procedures without delays.

    Stationery Supply: Maintain inventory and ensure timely availability of required stationary items at counters and other areas.

    Liaison with External Authorities: Coordinate with immigration, security, and other relevant authorities to address issues impacting the airline and passengers.

    Deputize in Absence of Manager: Act as the Deputy to the Duty Manager or Airport Services Manager during their absence.

    Other Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager related to station operations.

    Job Qualifications:

    Education

    – A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the aviation sector, OR

    – A two-year college diploma in any discipline with 4 years of relevant experience, OR

    – A specialized certificate or license in a related field with a secondary school certificate and 8 years of relevant work experience (for internal candidates only).

    Skills and Certifications

    – Proficiency in English (both spoken and written)

    – Proficiency in MS Office

    – Airline/airport/tourism service-related training or courses

    – Awareness of DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulation), Load Control, DCS (Departure Control System), and Reservation procedures
