Assistant Nursing Officer (Health Volunteer) Job at CCBRT
To strengthen our nursing department, we are seeking dedicated and highly skilled Assistant Nursing Officers (Health Volunteers) who will contribute to providing high-quality nursing care in various allocated areas, including Outpatient Department (OPD), Inpatient Department (IPD), and Operating Theatre Department (OTD).
Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Nursing Officer at CCBRT
As an Assistant Nursing Officer (Health Volunteer), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our patients. Your key duties include:
1. Providing Exceptional Nursing Care
- Delivering patient-centered nursing care in alignment with healthcare safety regulations and quality standards.
- Upholding patient dignity and ensuring a compassionate approach in all interactions.
- Monitoring patient progress and providing timely interventions where necessary.
2. Preparing Patients for Medical Procedures
- Ensuring that patients are well-prepared before consultations, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries.
- Assisting in preoperative and postoperative care to facilitate smooth recovery.
- Educating patients and families on treatment plans and health management.
3. Assisting Doctors During Examinations and Surgeries
- Providing clinical assistance during medical procedures, patient examinations, and surgical interventions.
- Ensuring availability of necessary medical equipment and supplies.
- Helping doctors maintain accurate patient records.
4. Bridging Language Barriers
- Translating Kiswahili to English and vice versa to facilitate clear communication between patients and doctors.
- Assisting patients in understanding their medical conditions and recommended treatments.
5. Managing Clinical Procedures and Recordkeeping
- Performing essential clinical procedures, including wound dressing, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration.
- Ensuring proper documentation of patient records to maintain accurate medical histories.
- Controlling patient flow within the clinical areas to ensure efficient service delivery.
Ideal Candidate Profile
To be considered for the Assistant Nursing Officer (Health Volunteer) position, you must meet the following qualifications and competencies:
Educational Qualifications
- A Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council (TNMC) with a valid practicing license.
Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in maternal, neonatal, and child healthcare is an added advantage.
- Experience in critical care nursing is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Swahili.
- Ability to multitask, adapt to changing environments, and work proactively.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
