Job Title: Relationship Officer – SME

Job Overview:
The Relationship Officer – SME, reporting to the Branch Manager, is responsible for driving loan portfolio growth while fostering and maintaining critical client relationships. The role ensures efficient and compliant delivery of credit products and services. Key duties include evaluating, structuring, and monitoring credit facilities, understanding clients’ financial requirements, and aligning all credit processes with the bank’s risk and compliance policies.
Primary Duties:
- Acquire new clients.
- Regular visits to borrowers for monitoring and loan recovery.
- Evaluate loan applications to determine applicant eligibility.
- Conduct on-site visits to clients’ businesses to gather necessary loan assessment information.
- Ensure adherence to bank policies and procedures before and after loan disbursement.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly loan reports and portfolio analyses.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as they arise.
- Collaborate with the Branch Manager and other departments to support business growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Credit Administration. A Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Experience: At least 5 years in relationship management or credit analysis within the banking or financial sector, with a proven ability to manage credit portfolios and handle complex transactions.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in credit products, risk evaluation, and financial analysis.
- Exceptional relationship management, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in financial modeling, credit management software, and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Comprehensive understanding of banking regulations, credit risk management, and compliance standards.
