Role Objective
Oversee the complete software testing lifecycle, including planning, designing, executing tests, and reporting outcomes to ensure the delivery of high-quality and reliable software solutions. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other key stakeholders to proactively identify and address issues during the development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze requirements to create detailed test plans and cases by working closely with development teams to gain a clear understanding of product specifications.
- Conduct manual and automated testing using various methods and tools, including exploratory, API, performance, security, functional, non-functional, and usability testing.
- Leverage automation tools and frameworks to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
- Accurately identify, replicate, and document software defects for resolution.
- Examine test outcomes to pinpoint defect origins, detect trends, and collaborate with developers on fixes or recommend improvements to testing processes and tools.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on areas for quality enhancement.
- Stay informed on the latest testing techniques, tools, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to refining and enhancing software development processes.
- Support and mentor junior QA engineers, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Java and testing tools such as Selenium or JUnit.
- Capability to work independently and handle multiple priorities efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A passion for ensuring software quality and delivering robust solutions.
- Proven track record in creating and executing test plans and cases.
- Familiarity with automation testing tools and frameworks is advantageous.
- At least five years of experience in software development and/or quality assurance.
